I received my PhD from Columbia University in 2015 and my BA from Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania. As a boursier du Gouvernement Français, I earned a Master Recherche from Sorbonne Nouvelle University and a graduate degree from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris.

I am working on a book project based on my dissertation “The Invention of Memoirs in Renaissance France.” My research interests concern life writing, historiography, and the science of the stars during the Middle Ages and the early modern period.

My published articles are on the works of Gossouin de Metz, Philippe de Commynes, Blaise de Monluc, Jean Thenaud, and François Rabelais.
