Alexandra Cirone is currently a third year PhD candidate in political
science, focusing on comparative politics and quantitative methods with a
regional interest in Western Europe. Her research interests center on
European Union politics and policy, federalism, and Europe's
ever-evolving institutional framework.
Alexandra
originally hails from Illinois, and graduated in 2006 with a degree in
Political Science from the University of Chicago. Prior to beginning
graduate studies at Columbia, she worked for Professors Rohini Pande and
Asim Ijaz Khwaja at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. When not
working, she enjoys spending time overseas and watching Masterpiece
Theatre.
