Liana Fox is a doctoral student concentrating in Social Policy Analysis at the Columbia University School of Social Work. Her research interests include economic inequality, intergenerational mobility and the economics of race and gender.

Ms. Fox is currently researching trends in parental employment as well as the impact of nonstandard work on children's cognitive outcomes. She has an M.S. in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Prior to coming to Columbia, Ms. Fox worked at the Economic Policy Institute analyzing the impact of minimum wage and living wage policies.
