Bonnie Glass, LCSW, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW). She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University (Ohio) with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminology. Bonnie has worked with trauma, violence and victimization for ten years.
Bonnie teaches Advanced Clinical Practice in Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities at CUSSW. She has been involved in CUSSW‚s Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Project as a field instructor and lecturer. Bonnie is a consultant to a variety of New York City-based victim support service agencies and has a clinical social work private practice. She is a member of the Gilda‚s Club New York City community where she facilitates a variety of support groups to people living with cancer and their caregivers. She is also a figure skating coach at Wollman Rink in Central Park.
As a national and international figure skating competitor, Bonnie appreciates the use of movement as a healing practice. She has received training in the use of yoga and mindfulness in the treatment of trauma and integrates those healing practices in all aspects of her work.
