Lydia Ogden, LCSW, is a doctoral candidate at the Columbia University School of Social Work and a John A. Hartford Doctoral Fellow. Her dissertation project is a collection and analysis of life history narratives of older adults with schizophrenia. It is funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation, as well as the CUSSW Rehr-Fizdale and Rosenburg Awards. Her broad research interests include health and wellness for older adults with serious mental illness and social service provision within housing and mental health settings.
Prior to entering the CUSSW doctoral program, Ms. Ogden worked in clinical and supervisory social work capacities across diverse settings, including prisons, inpatient psychiatry, and supported housing programs. She earned her Master of Social Work from CUSSW in 2003.
