Practice Experience:

Dr. Choi has extensive practice experience in areas of mental health, child welfare and domestic violence. She worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker at the Asian Pacific Family Center, Rosemead, CA, primarily serving Asian and Pacific Islander population. She worked with severely and persistently mentally ill population and survivors of domestic violence and child abuse. She also worked with recent immigrant students and international students through the center's school based outreach program. She also had her private practice serving similar population, and also providing consultation to agencies and individuals working with Asian immigrant population. More recently, she worked as a social worker specializing in foster care and adoption at the Parsons Child and Family Center at Albany, NY. Prior to obtaining her M.S.W., Dr. Choi was a children's program coordinator at a battered women's shelter located in Los Angeles, CA.
