New CUSSW-Public Health Joint Seminar on Aging

CUSSW and the Mailman School of Public Health are collaborating to offer a new University Seminar addressing the challenge of unprecedented aging of local, national and international populations during the next half-century. Co-chaired by CUSSW Associate Dean Denise Burnette and Associate Professor at Public Health Victoria Raveis, the seminar provides an ongoing forum to address complex, pressing social and health issues such as increased longevity, changes in the family system and modifications in the scope, delivery and financing of health care. The seminar aims to increase dialogue and collaboration among faculties at the Morningside Heights and Health Sciences campuses and between the university and the community on health-related policy, practice and research issues specific to later stages of the life course.
