CUSSW Welcomes Lisa Ferri as Its New
Communication Director
In her new role, Ferri will be developing and overseeing the production
of content and design for the School's communication vehicles including
its newsletters, viewbook and other publications. She will be working
in collaboration with Ann McCann Oakley's technology team to further
develop the School's websites and make the site even more informative
for potential masters and doctoral students, CUSSW alumni, the Columbia
community and researchers from our own and other institutions. |
A former magazine and broadcast journalist, Ferri says, "I am impressed
with the exemplary publication productivity of the faculty at the
Columbia University School of Social Work. The research conducted by
the faculty has tremendously important implications for the lives of
individuals and families across the nation and, increasingly, the
world."
Ferri, who wrote for the public television program "The Next Big Thing"
(WGBH) before coming to Columbia, is currently also pursuing her masters
degree at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. A Duke graduate,
she has also been a contributor for various magazines including Silicon
Alley Reporter, Corporate Board Member, Marie Claire and Hamptons
Country.
