How do you do what you do?

Friday, April 10 - 6 pm (Followed by a private viewing and reception)

Stronach Center/Wallach Art Gallery (Schermerhorn Hall, 8th Floor)

The pursuit of art making today requires imaginative ways of working and thinking about practice. It is increasingly difficult for New York City artists to weather harsh realities of rent, space, and the art market. In conjunction with the MFA First-Year Exhibition at the Wallach Art Gallery, we ask a panel of School of the Arts alumni - how do you do what you do?

Panelists Ursula Von Rydingsvard ('75), Derrick Adams ('03) and Matt Keegan ('04) and Caitlin Cherry ('12) discuss how they have navigated the changing terrain of the art world to keep their practice active and engaged.

Moderated by Deborah Cullen, Director & Chief Curator, The Wallach Art Gallery.

Welcome from Shelly Silver, Chair, Visual Arts Program.

Co-sponsored by School of the Arts Artist Resource Center, Public Programs, Visual Arts Program, The Wallach Art Gallery, and the Department of Art History and Archaeology
