Crest-derived cells
isolated from chick gut migrate toward
co-cultured netrin-1-expressing cells.
•Stably transfected cells expressing netrin-1 were embedded in 3-D collagen
gels. Immunoselected crest-derived cells were plated over the
gels.
•Netrin-1 has a
chemoattractive effect on immunoselected enteric crest-derived cells in vitro.
