Brain reward circuitry and self- stimulation
		• The medial forebrain bundle, a group of decending myelinated fibers innervating the ventral tegmental area, is perhaps the most effective site for stimulation. This stimulation activates the VTA indirectly. • Different drugs can intervene at different levels of this brain-reward circuitry.
