Type IV RTA (Hyoreninemic-Hypoaldosteronism)

• Hyperkalemia (disproportionate to GFR)

• Non-gap metabolic acidosis with positive urinary anion gap and urine pH <5.5

• Mild CKD Stage 3 or 4

• Often underlying tubulointerstitial disease:

• DM

• SLE

• Obstruction

• Amyloid

• NSAIDS

• Myeloma

• HIV
