V-Day

Access | Ability is the name of the V-Day 2017 production, hosted at Barnard, which centers the narratives from students of color living with disabilities. Based on student submissions, the production aims to tackle the issues of (dis)abilities and mental health to fight the taboo and stigma that silence many students of color on campus. Access | Ability is a year long social justice initiative to raise awareness about the challenges faced by students at Barnard and Columbia, educate on visible and invisible disabilities and address ableism. We hope this production will open doors to enhance communication and transparency among students, faculty, and the administration about these pressing issues on campus.
