The Chandler Society Scholarship

The Chandler Society for Undergraduate Chemistry is a student group dedicated to inspiring interest in chemistry in the Columbia community and beyond. The Chandler Society and the Department of Chemistry of Columbia University will award $4,000 to one student for the summer of 2013. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must currently be enrolled in one of the four undergraduate colleges of Columbia University and have secured a position as a research assistant in a laboratory in Columbia’s Department of Chemistry.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide monetary support to an undergraduate who would like to do research at Columbia. Our ideal candidate is one who is unable to obtain other funding, for example, due to a lack of experience. This scholarship aims to give a student the opportunity to gain research experience in a chemistry laboratory.
