Columbia's New Card

We are updating the design of the University ID Card for faculty, staff and students at Morningside and Manhattanville.

Since we last introduced updated cards in 2007, Columbia’s visual identity has been refined to provide a more consistent image across the University. To make the University ID card consistent with the current visual identity, Columbia has created a new design. The new card will be introduced as older cards expire:

Please note that ID cards in current use with the older design will still be valid until their expiration date. There is no need to replace ID cards unless you are nearing the expiration date or have lost your card.

This change in design only applies to cards issued for the Morningside campus, including Manhattanville. The Medical Center, Barnard, Teachers College, Union Theological Seminary and other affiliates will not be affected. Faculty and staff whose ID cards are nearing expiration will receive a notice from Student & Administrative Services reminding you to obtain a new card.

If you have any questions, please write to us at [email protected].
