Columbia University Trustees Bestow Professorships on Three CUSSW Faculty
Congratulations to Denise Burnette, Nabila El-Bassel and Jane Waldfogel,
all of whom have been formally awarded the rank of Professor by the
Trustees of Columbia University. This honor is bestowed on those
individuals who have demonstrated exceptional scholarship, teaching and
leadership and have been outstanding mentors to the students and faculty

Center for Disease Control features the work of SIG in its Prevention News Update
The Prevention News Update, a digital newsletter from the National Prevention Information Network and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) featured CUSSW's Social Intervention Group's (SIG) recent findings in its June 3rd edition. SIG's article, "The Efficacy of a Relationship-Based HIV/STD Prevention Program for Heterosexual Couples" was highlighted. Read more.
CUSSW Welcomes Lisa Ferri as the School's New Communications Director
In her new role, Ferri will be developing and overseeing the production
of content and design for the School's communication vehicles including
its newsletters, viewbook and other publications. Read more.
Marisa Sallen, Winner of the Judith Holm Memorial Student Award Marisa Sallen, a CUSSW 2003 graduate, has won the Judith Holm Memorial Student Award for Excellence in Preparation for Clinical Social Work Practice sponsored by the American Board of Examiners in clinical social work. Read more.
