Uncle Henry Morgenthau was a great figure in politics in the 1920 convention. He was there. Norman Davis was there. I think Irene Gibson went out to that convention too.

I went out by myself, knowing that other people were there. I didn't go out on the campaign train. I wouldn't do that. I couldn't have brought myself to do that. I had other business on the way. I went to Chicago. I stopped in Ohio because we were concerned in the Industrial Commission with certain State Fund problems. I conferred with them in Ohio about the operation of their State Fund for Workmen's Compensation Insurance. I stopped in Chicago.
