have about some other things about Mrs. Moskowitz - that she pretty nearly stayed out of the picture. I may be wrong about that. However, her husband, Henry Moskowitz, was a very sincere, active and ardent supporter of Roosevelt. He took part in the organizing of independent committees for the support of Roosevelt. He took part in a number of enterprises, writing a number of little articles and pieces that appeared in newspapers all over the country, in periodicals, writing little pamphlets directed at a particular group of voters. I know that he did that. So far as I know he made speeches. I wouldn't know about that, but he may have. I don't think he went far afield, but there was always an element in New York City that had to be courted a little, and Henry would do that. He was very sincere.
I don't see why this would make a strained relationship in the Moskowitz home. Married people don't have to agree with each other. You agree to stand by each other loyally and help each other. All you promise to do is to love, cherish and take care of each other. You don't agree to agree. She felt emotionally about Al Smith and Roosevelt, but after all she was a very deep and complicated woman. I would imagine that it wasn't the first question upon which she and Henry had not had a complete agreement as to what was the best and right thing to do, or where they would
