Dining Services

Columbia Dining Services maintains six dining facilities open to students and visitors on a cash, Dining Dollars, or dining plan basis. Students can enroll in a range of dining plans. Disability Services

Services to students with permanent or temporary disabilities are coordinated by the Office of Disability Services (Lerner Hall, Suite 802, 115th and Broadway, 212 854-2388 (voice) 212 854-2378 (TDD) in support of the academic program and standards of the School. All CUSSW student contact and intervention is handled by Assistant Director of Student Services, Karma Lowe (Room 525, 212 851-2364).

Students must provide current and appropriate medical or diagnostic documentation before accommodation can be considered. In cases involving students with learning disabilities, documentation may be no more than five years old and must include a report summary and complete test battery scores.

To allow sufficient time for review of needs and implementation of accommodations, students should contact the Office of Disability Services and the CUSSW liaison officer as early as possible.

Career and Leadership Development

The Office of Career and Leadership Development (Room 525 CUSSW, 212 851-2321), offers a variety of services and resources for professional and career development including workshops, alumni panels, reference materials, counseling, current job listings, job fairs and more. Individual guidance on professional development and career planning is available to all students by appointment.

Information is maintained on workshops, post-graduate study, internships and fellowships, licensing and certification, as well as summer and part-time social work positions that may complement, enrich and expand a student’s educational and professional experience.

Students and alumni can access online up-to-date job announcements which are posted electronically within 24 hours of receipt.

International Students and Scholars Office

The ISSO is open to international students as well as American citizens and permanent residents who have received their education in a foreign country. Services include pre-admission counseling, immigration-related services, International Orientation, social and cultural activities, and the International Hospitality program. The ISSO also provides credential analysis services to the admissions offices of the University.

Orientation for new international students arriving for the September term takes place during orientation week. The mailing address is: International Students and Scholars Office, Columbia University, Mail Code 5724, 2960 Broadway, New York, NY 10027. The Office is located at 524 Riverside Drive.
